Dear Friends,
While I certainly didn’t appreciate it at the time, as I look back, I realize how hard my parents worked — and how much they sacrificed — to provide me with a better life and greater opportunities than they had. Now, as a father of two, my wife and I are committed to doing the same for our children — helping them gain the knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and opportunity to pursue their dreams. For me, that is the essence of the American Dream.
Today, more than ever before, a college education can be an important step to helping them realize those dreams. Many parents look at the spiraling costs of higher education and wonder how they will ever be able to afford it. But thanks to a variety of factors — including new savings programs, availability of financial aid, and low cost public colleges — nearly every family has the ability to send their children to college.
